People are listed on the "Find support" page who are willing to provide a variety of NVC services to others in our community (empathy, mediation, rides to events and housing for events for out-of-town trainers and participants).

DISCLAIMER: providing this referral service in no way implies an endorsement of those involved. We make no attempt to monitor people offering services. Those requesting or offering their services do so at their own risk. NVC encourages the individual to take responsibility for her/his own choices and to meet his/her own needs. We request that all services offered or requested be consistent with the principles of NVC and further the integration of those principles in the lives of the people involved.

How to offer a service

If you would like to offer your services, take the link to "My account" on the left, click on the "Profile" tab and, after scrolling down the page to the middle, check one or more services you are wiling to offer. If you are willing to have people call you, post a phone number in the field called "Services phone number." Otherwise they will email you. After saving your changes, you will be listed on the "Find support" page.

How it works

Once you are listed for a service, there are two possible ways people can contact you to request your help: by phone (if you listed a phone number for services in your profile) or by email (if you went to "My account" > "Edit" and checked "Personal contact form"). Listing a services phone number is optional. If you prefer to be emailed, then leave the services phone number blank. People can email you only if they have a member account on this website and are logged in. Your email address will be hidden until you respond to their email.

We are using Captchas to prevent unwanted junk email created by junk bots. Captchas require a response to a question or the input of numbers/letters from a graphic, something a program cannot do. We use them at two levels: you must pass a Captcha to get a member account and you must pass a Captcha to send an email.
