Get Involved

There are five levels of participation offered on this website: Announcement email list, Public participation, Member participation, Facilitator access and Web-developer.

Announcement email list: GRNVC has an email announcement list that you can join, whether you have a member account or not. Our intent is to use it infrequently to give you news of the NVC world, perhaps no more than once or twice a month. There are two ways to join: 1) enter your email address in the "GRNVC Announcements" form on the left and complete the Captcha (which we use to prevent junk bots from interfering) or, 2) check the subscription box marked "News" at the top of the edit tab in "My account." You can unsubscribe at any time, either by unchecking the subscription box in your account or by using the unsubscribe link that appears in any email you receive.

NOTE: This is a double opt-in mail list. In order to join, you subscribe and then you must respond to an email asking you to confirm that you wanted to join, otherwise your subscription stops automatically.

Public participation: Anyone can access the information on this website, including workshop and practise group details, without having to sign-up for a member account. Please feel free to browse and share the contents with your friends and family. Also feel free to contact the facilitators or trainers with phone numbers listed for more information about the workshops and practise groups they offer.

Member participation: Anyone can sign-up for a secure member account. Doing so provides you access to services not available to the general public. One option is the ability to email people listed on the website. Another is the ability to comment in training groups. Please see note on this page Regarding email.

DISCLAIMER: providing the referral service in no way implies an endorsement of those involved. We make no attempt to monitor people offering services. Those requesting or offering their services do so at their own risk. NVC encourages the individual to take responsibility for her/his own choices and to meet his/her own needs. We request that all services offered or requested be consistent with the principles of NVC and further the integration of those principles in the lives of the people involved.

Caveat emptor! (For non-Latin speakers: Let the buyer beware!) If you take an NVC training from someone and don't enjoy NVC, please understand that someone else may present NVC in a totally different manner that you might enjoy.

Facilitators: We have given the name "faciltator" to someone who has access to post an event on this website and who organizes NVC events or offers workshops, practise groups or other NVC related trainings. We request that all events be NVC-related. Once given access, a facilitator can post and edit information about his/her own events on the website and will be a member of the facilitator circle. Facilitators can only modify events they themselves have posted, not general information on the website or anyone else's events. Please see note on this page Regarding email.

Anyone can ask to join the facilitator circle and get access to post events on this website. Please see Joining the Facilitator Circle for a description of the process and our requests.

Web-developers: If you would like to contribute content to this website and help determine the direction of its development, we invite you to join the Web-developer group. Currently the Web-developers are a group of four committed volunteers.

Anyone can ask to participate in the web-developer group. Please use the Contact form to email us with your request. We would like you to introduce yourself and include a short summary of your NVC background. Please give us 10 days to get back to you.
